Objective:  

I can apply our strategies of looking at genocide to other genocides since the Holocaust.

Warm-Up:

With your table mates, identify two similarities between the genocides you read about last night.

Agenda:

• Take out the Stages Organizer and see what stages you can apply from your readings last night.
• Divide into four groups to examine each genocide in depth.
• What numbers help you make sense of this genocide?
• Look at the personal stories from the genocide.  Most of the stories can be found here.  Stories from the Rohingya may be found here or here.  Read the same one as at least one other member in the group.  What does this story add to your understanding of the genocide?
• With your group, please create 1 - 2 slides to add to our class understanding of the genocide you studied.  On the Google Slides for your class, make sure you put your slides in the right section.  Do not worry if you and your partner overlap with others in your group.

Warm-Up:

With your groupmates, brainstorm some of the atrocities that were perpetrated and experienced during WWII.  Think about the events and strategies we talked about in our last lesson and our unit on WWII to help guide your thinking.
